Please join the Cloud Standards Customer Council in Reston, Virginia on Thursday, March 26th for the Cloud Privacy Summit. This all day symposium will stimulate lively, interactive discussion and deliver prescriptive guidance and recommendations. Registration is open to the public.

Privacy is gaining in importance across the globe, often involving laws and regulations, relating to the acquisition, storage, and use of personally identifiable information (PII). Typically, privacy implies limitations on the use and accessibility of PII, with associated requirements to tag the data appropriately, store it securely, and to permit access only to appropriately authorized users. This requires appropriate controls to be in place, particularly when the data is stored within a cloud provider’s infrastructure.

The Cloud Standards Customer Council (CSCC) will bring together acknowledged cloud technology and business leaders from government and other industries to exchange information concerning privacy in the cloud. In addition, government regulators and cloud computing vendors will share their perspectives on the current state and future outlook of the marketplace.
