DBT-Data further established itself in the data storage industry as a formidable force with the $35 million dollar purchase of the state of the art Cyber Integration Center on 1175 North Main Street in Harrisonburg Virginia.

Possessing Uptime Institute’s Tier III certification for operation and design, and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification for power usage, the data center adheres to the stringent requirements and standards of private enterprise and the Federal Government. This is the only data center in Virginia or Maryland that carries the Tier III certification. The certification denotes the risks and security level of the data center’s performance with Tier IV being the highest.
The Cyber Integration Center is built on a total of 13 acres. Its 102,000 square feet is contained to one floor with an expandable capacity of 40,000 square feet. The finished 8,000 square feet of office space features a reception area, restrooms, two cafes, a guard station, 21 offices, a hallway, and an open space. There is 2,000 square feet dedicated to shipping and receiving. A fully conditioned raised floor spans 30,000 square feet and contains three modules with independent infrastructures. Offering 4500kw of power, the additional capacity of 1500kw of reserved power gives the data center a total of 6000kw of IT load conditioned power.
The Cyber Integration Center offers security. It is surrounded by an eight-foot perimeter fence. All areas are covered by indoor and outdoor cameras. Security guards are on duty 24 hours 7 days a week and infrastructure alarms are monitored around the clock. The Cyber Integration Center requires card access into all interior and exterior doors. There are two entrances with a security gate and they feature an intercom equipped with cameras. The main building entrance is protected by an inside guard station.
Carpathia Hosting, Inc., which provides cloud solution services, currently leases 10,000 square feet of the conditioned space. All of the conditioned space has an N+1 high density configuration with the ability to offer a 2N configuration.
The Cyber Integration Center is one of the five data centers owned by DBT-Data in Virginia. DBT Data’s flexible and customizable data solution powerhouse shells consist of an ecologically intelligent design equipped with dedicated power and abundant fibers. According to David Tolson, the president of DBT Development, “DBT is excited about bringing our new Harrisonburg, Virginia data center online as a state of the art facility. Demand for federal government and private sector data storage is enormous in the greater Washington area.”
