Palo Alto, USA – June 23rd, 2014 Addressing the global cloud skills gap is the number one priority to help accelerate the successful adoption of Cloud, according to the Cloud Credential Council. To address the skills gap specifically related to FedRAMP, the Cloud Credential Council has released an online course and exam for  FedRAMP authored by leading government cloud expert Kevin L. Jackson.
The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services.
Federal Agencies, Third-Party Assessment Organizations (3PAO), Cloud Service Providers (CSP) all need to have deep knowledge about FedRAMP. As of June 5th 2014 it is a requirement for CSPs to be #FedRAMP compliant. There are many organizations that are not yet FedRamp compliant, primarily caused by the lack of knowledge  around the processes, requirements and value of FedRAMP compliancy. The Cloud Credential Council is addressing this crucial gap with a new certification course developed together with leading Government Cloud expert Kevin L. Jackson, CEO & Founder of GovCloud Network.
Marcel Heilijgers, Executive Director of the Cloud Credential Council said: “Kevin L. Jackson’s deep knowledge of FedRAMP, combined with his vast government cloud experience gained through senior positions at SENTEL, JP Morgan Chase, IBM, NJVC and collaboration with organizations such as GSA, NIST, DHS, DOD, NSA, OMB, and the Federal CIO Council, ensures that we have the best expertise in place to address this crucial topic.”
According to Kevin L. Jackson, author of the certification course: “This course will help executives understand the processes, requirements and value of FedRAMP certification. Given the mandatory nature of FedRAMP this certification is a must-have for all government and industry IT executives.”

A description can be found here: https://www.cloudcredential.org/certifications/efc/. The course and exam can be taken anywhere, anytime across the globe and is available starting today at: https://www.cloudcredential.org/cloud-store/.   Besides this online certification course specific to FedRAMP, general CCC Professional certification courses released and due for release this year such as CCC Professional Cloud Solutions Architect and CCC Professional Cloud Security Manager will also include FedRAMP as one of the topics. Training partners and Trainers/Instructors interested in adopting the Professional tracks are encouraged to contact the Cloud Credential Council for accreditation.
